There are innumerable moments in life that are ‘pivot points,’ whether we recognize them as such or not.  Moments where circumstances, actions taken, experiences, and most importantly – conscious choices on how to move forward, determine the path that lay ahead.  This is the human experience, in each and every moment.

I am a writer, a coach and a leader, who is also a nonprofit executive. I did not start out as a nonprofit leader, but rather I started out as a wide-eyed idealist set on healing the world.  The career path from there to here has had many challenges, many joys and many learnings that have made me who I am today.  My personal life also had twists and turns, joys and sorrows – a marriage to a man I adored, who brought much levity to my days, and whom I ultimately parted from; two curious, capable and compassionate sons that are my heart; and now, a second marriage in which we operate as spiritual partners, evolving individually and together in this human experience.

A key learning in my life is that consistently, my greatest fears have nudged me towards my greatest growth, whether I accepted them upon first discovery or cycled back to them after trying to avoid them, time and time again.  Ultimately, my successes have come from facing with honesty and courage the truth that I am not only deserving of support, acceptance and healing, but it is essential to my wellbeing and the impact that I wish to have on the world. This is true for each of us.

We all have a passion-fueled purpose within us.  We know when we are in alignment with it.  Expression of that true self, that true essence and that greater purpose is essential to our wellbeing and ultimately, the impact that we can have on the world.  Confidence in that purpose and the courage to stand tall even as the winds whip around us, is integral to our impact.  My life and my contribution to all life thrives when I remain in alignment with these truths.  This is true for so many that I have supported and continue to support today.  This is true for you too.

There is leadership within you. In fact, leaders are everywhere – leading companies, neighborhoods, families and more. Yes, there are many who hold formal positions of leadership, and there are even more among us that hold informal positions of leadership.

What I know is that in order to lead well, we must each be well. That means we must first heal. Each of us has gifts to share and wisdom within. Yet, we often struggle to keep that wisdom accessible and those gifts flowing through our lives. This is where I aim to be of support, with authentic reflection on my experience, the experiences of others, and reliable resources and proven practices.

Imagine what life would be like if all of us were truly well and were able to live and lead with meaning, joy and light. What impact could you have if you were living in true alignment?  What would it mean for those around you, or for the world?
